The new Compensating Power Chuck Series
3QLC/K-AG has been developed for workpieces which need to be machined
between centers. The clamping jaws are designed to precisely follow
components non-cylindrical clamping contours.
Therefore even raw material workpieces
can be clamped and machined precisely without errors of eccentricity.
The pull-back effect of the clamping jaws assures also true location
of the workpiece on the center mounted within the chuck.
In order to accomodate a variety of gripping
requirements of parts, interchangeable center housings are also
available, i.e. fixed centers or spring actuated centers with
fixed end stops. Two sets of clamping jaws cover almost the full
grip-ping range. A special center housing converts the chuck into
a conventional self-centering chuck for use with standard top
jaws (e.g. UKB).

The profile-ground multi V jaw guides and the
proven technical superiority of the QLC design round-off entirely
the uniquely excellent qualities of this universal chuck
series.
Yet another FORKARDT Innovation!

Advantages:
- Compensating chuck to clamp off-center parts with high
precision
- Pull-back action for improved part location on center
- Easy moving compensation at high clamping forces
- Interchangeable and finely adjustable center housings
- Change-over for self-centering mode for general chucking
work
- Optional centrifugal force compensation for high speeds
- Axial stroke limitation is integrated into the design of
the chuck thus ensuring any over stroke of the cylinder is not
problematic
- Jaw guides are precision ground with a patented profile
ensuring minimal loss of lubricating grease through gaps
and undercuts, thus reducing maintenance and increasing consistency
