Rotary hydraulic cylinders
Rotary hydraulic cylinders OKRJ are used primarily to actuate closed centre power chucks. However, when used
with open centre power chucks, they provide a partly open chucking system, which allows long workpieces to be
pushed into the front of the lathe spindle. The modular construction of the OKRJ cylinder facilitates the addition of
specific elements, such as a dynamic workpiece pressure control system or pipes for a water cooling system.

chucks. Optimized for use with the QLC chuck, this high performance cylinder can be used to actuate all FORKARDT
power chucks.

closed centre pneumatic cylinders
These are closed centre pneumatic cylinders for the actuation of closed and partly open centre power chucks. They are suitable for the same applications as the OKRJ cylinders, but, as air is used as the pressure medium, the gripping force range that can be generated with these cylinders is not as high as that of hydraulically powered cylinders.

PZLHM pneumatic through hole cylinders in light metal construction have been developed specifically for power chucks
operating at speeds of up to 8,000 rpm. The cylinders have a long stroke, low inertia effect and are virtually maintenance free.
They are extremely reliable and suitable for high speeds even under continous operation.
